A memorial service with military honors will be held at 1:00pm Thursday, August 24, 2017 at Cornerstone Baptist Church, 415 US Route One, Scarborough. Private family burial will take place at Hillside Cemetery in Eastport. Dennett, Craig & Pate Funeral Home, 365 Main Street, Saco has been entrusted with the arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Cornerstone Baptist Church or Gosnell Memorial Hospice House.
Obituary:
Saco – Born February 10, 1921 in Eastport, Maine, Leonard “Lenny” Hooper 96, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loved ones, on August 20, 2017 at Gosnell Memorial Hospice House. “Absent from the body and present with the Lord.”
Lenny was a man devoted to his family and his church. He was predeceased by Faye, his wife of 58 years. He is survived by his daughters Cheryl Flood (Del), Lorna Doyle (Sidney) and Kathy Hooper; his grandchildren Christine Jones (Reid), Jeremy Bourque (Suzanne), Erica Doyle and Brian Doyle (Chelsea); and great grandchildren Cameron, Raven and Remington. Lenny leaves behind many nieces and nephews, his life-long friend Hazel Harris, and many others who will miss him dearly.
