Obituary:
Hollis, Dawn Smith Desrosiers, 72, of Sand Pond Rd., passed away Tuesday August 1, 2017 at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough, surrounded by loved ones when she passed. She was born in New Britain, CT September 29, 1944 the daughter of Floyd Arnold and Alice Willey Smith.
She and her family moved to Maine at a young age and she attended Saco Schools including Thornton Academy.
Dawn was employed at local shoe shops, later Fairchild, Maine Castle Restaurant, and most recently at Sweester Children’s Home, from which she retired.
She enjoyed Bingo, reading Rag magazines, being “The Coupon Queen”, playing solitaire and most importantly being with her family.
Dawn is predeceased by her parents, and 3 brothers Scott, Brett and Bart aka Jake Smith.
She is survived by a son David Desrosier Jr. of Lyman, a daughter Patricia Forbes and husband Scott of Hollis, a brother Bruce Smith of Hollis, 5 grandchildren Ryan and Sarah Forbes, Corinne Desrosier Valient, Emily Desrosier and Gabriella Desrosier.
