A Celebration of his life will be held Friday June 30, 2017 from 1 to 5 PM at the Eagle Club, Birch St, Biddeford, Maine.
Dennett, Craig & Pate Funeral Home and Cremation 365 Main St, Saco are in charge of the arrangements.
Obituary:
Saco, Donald J. Shoemaker, 71, of Pepperell St., passed away Wednesday June 21, 2017 at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough.
He was born in Kings Mountain, Orrington, Maine September 20, 1945.
Donald attended local schools. and worked as a subtractor for many years. His first employment was at the local mills during shut down time and most recently worked as a subtractor for many years.
He enjoyed four wheeling, trips to Florida and hunting.
Donald was Past President of the Eagles in Brewer and in Biddeford.
Mr. Shoemaker is predeceased by 2 sisters Peggy Pinkham and Chris Thompkins, a brother Bud Cyr, a nephew John Cyr and a son Donald Shoemaker Jr.
He is survived by his wife Norma McKeen Shoemaker of Saco, 2 daughters Lori Shoemaker, Kimberly Babb, a son Daniel Shoemaker, and 2 step sons Jerald Levesque and Daniel Levesque and a step daughter Shannon Littlefield, a niece Sheila Cyr, a best friend for many years Robert Moody and several grandchildren.
