Visitation Information:
Services will be held at Dennett, Craig and Pate Funeral Home and Cremation, 13 Portland Rd, Buxton(Bar Mills). Visiting hours will be from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 21st and on March 22, 2017 from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday March 22nd with a funeral service to follow.

Obituary:
Rodney G Milliken, 83 years old of Scarborough passed away peacefully with his family by his side on March 17th at Seaside Healthcare in Portland.

Rodney was born in Buxton and grew up on a farm at Scarborough Corner. He learned the meaning of hard work at a young age and demonstrated a strong work ethic in all that he did, a value he passed on to his two daughters.

Rodney was drafted into the U.S. Army and spent time in Germany. When he returned, he married Mary A Miller of Portland and went to work for Cook Concrete Company (later Dragon Products) He drove a concrete mixer until his final retirement at the age of 75. Rodney loved his job. He enjoyed getting out to different places each day, meeting new people and building lasting friendships. In his retirement he cherished regular visits from many of those friends. Rodney also loved caring for the many birds that visited his back yard.

Rodney is survived by two daughters, Pamela Milliken-Garza of Gorham and Patricia Tetreau and her husband Marc of Falmouth, five grandchildren, Elliot Garza and his wife Hannah of Westbrook, Emily Garza of Westbrook, Jesse Garza of Gorham, Bradford Tetreau of Falmouth, William Tetreau of Falmouth, one great granddaughter, Maria Garza of Westbrook and a brother, Erle Milliken of Buxton. He is predeceased by his father Virgil Milliken of Buxton and his mother Ruby Milliken (York) of Buxton.
