Obituary:
Buxton, Clifton L. Rockwell, 94, of Old Orchard Road passed away February 7, 2017 at his residence. He was born in Houlton, July 10, 1922 the son of Charles and Edna Stoddard Rockwell.
Clifton attended local schools and then worked on the family farm.
He later operated his own heavy equipment company and moved to the Bangor area in 1990’s. In 2010, he and his wife Stella moved to the Buxton area to live with their daughter.
He enjoyed playing guitar and the mouth harp together.
Mr. Rockwell is predeceased by his wife Stella, a brother Colby, and 3 sisters Dorothy Rockwell, Dora Williams and Ruth Cervin.
Clifton is survived by a daughter Connie Rockwell and her husband Ramses LaMour of Buxton, a brother Wendall Rockwell of Benton, Me and a sister Mary Woodworth of Houlton, 3 grandchildren Susan, Stephanie and Allan, and 4 great grandchildren Christopher, Heather, Courtney and Amanda.
