Obituary:
Old Orchard Beach, Eleanor F. Dondiego, 93, of Wild Dunes Way passed away Friday January 6, 2017 at the Evergreen Manor in Saco. She was born in Brooklyn, New York February 23, 1923 the daughter of Walter and Anna Gulden Mott.
She graduated from Bay Ridge High School in Brooklyn in 1942 and then worked as an accountant at City Bank of New York. In 1946 she married William Collins, who passed away in 1951.
She then married William Dondiego and they resided in Mastic Beach, Long Island, New York and later in Bangor, Maine and Orlando, Florida. She enjoyed traveling and went to Italy and Hawaii. Mr. Dondiego passed away in 1980. Eleanor returned to Maine in 1987.
She enjoyed the company of animals, especially her cat Muffin.
She is survived by a son Larry Collins of Saco, 3 daughters Maryann Leonardi of Ridge, NY, Barbara Pio of Berlin, NJ, Geraldine Barriault of Portland, ME, 10 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
Private family services will be held at the convenience of the family.
