Obituary:
Arundel – Joyce May Devoe, 68 was welcomed into the kingdom of heaven early morning December 29, 2016. She was born on February 14, 1948 in Milbridge, the daughter of Frank and Roberta Vance Schevenieus. It was fitting the world welcomed Joyce on Valentine’s Day; she was a sweet, kind and patient lady who loved little children. She taught Sunday school to pre-school aged children at the Faith Lighthouse Church. Joyce worked for many years at Southern Maine Health Care as an Environmental Services Technician. She loved to play scrabble and do crosswords.
She was predeceased by her father. Joyce is survived by her husband of 49 years Raymond Devoe, her mother Roberta Adams of Saco, her daughter Dawn and husband Paul Lyons, Jr., and her granddaughter Ashley and her husband James Cyr, Jr. and grandson Mackenzie Lyons.

Our family was truly blessed to have such a wonderful, loving person like Joyce in our lives. There was a reason she was born on Valentines Day, God filled her with so much love for everyone and you felt it just being around her. We will all truly miss you Joyce, but we also know that you are with the lord and there is no better place to be. No more pain on this earth but rejoicing in Heaven......

My Mom was the sweetest woman on earth. She was not only my mother, but also my best friend. I'm not sure what I'll do without you, Mom. I love you so much and miss you like crazy. Save a place for me.
