Obituary:
Limington, Michael J. McElroy, 55, of Harlan Drive passed away December 3, 2016. He was born in Portland, Maine August 11, 1961 the son of Earl and Arlene Linton McElroy.
Michael attended local schools and graduated from Westbrook High school in 1979.
He then attended Portland Regional Vocational Technical College.
Michael’s employment included Data General, Sanmina, and for the last 11 years as a sheet metal fabricator for Prescott Metal in Biddeford.
Michael enjoyed and excelled at his woodworking skills.
He is predeceased by 3 brothers Norman, Richard and Donald.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years Jeanette McElroy of Limington, 2 daughters Amanda McElroy of Limington, and Samantha McElroy of Old Orchard Beach, a brother Ron McElroy and wife Sandra of FL., and a sister Sandy Foss and husband Frank of Waterboro, 2 grandchildren, Allen and Morgan , a sister in law Sue McElroy and many nieces and nephews.

Jeannette my prayers are with you and your family in this trying time. Mike was always a gentleman and a fighter. We will all miss him and his "can-do" attitude. He fought so bravely in the last months, overcoming obstacle after obstacle, seemingly super human. I'm proud to have come to know you and him. My sincere condolences.

I have thought about my uncle many times the past few days. My memories are more of when we were young and he used to tease me. Having an uncle that is only 4 years older than you is kind of like having a big brother. I remember all the girls thinking how wonderful Mike was boy could he roller skate! I remember you telling me to stay away from the hill and I did not listen which resulted in stitches :-). I remember you my wonderful uncle. My heart goes out to my Aunt and nieces as well as my father. God bless
