Obituary:
Old Orchard Beach – Robert Bartlett Tuck, 82 passed away peacefully on February 4, 2016 at his home in Old Orchard Beach. He was born in Taunton, Massachusetts on October 10, 1933, the son of Frederick Alexander and Alice Marian Bartlett Tuck.
Bob graduated from Manlius Pebble Hill School in Syracuse, NY in 1952. He attended Syracuse University where he was a member of the Alpha Zeta fraternity leaving early to enlist the Navy in 1955.
Bob worked many years as a longshoreman in Searsport, Maine, later he and his wife owned and operated the Gull Motel in Belfast. After selling he worked as a handyman in town helping some of the older ladies with their home repairs. He was involved in PEP (Parents Educating Parents). Bob enjoyed football, baseball, basketball and golf. He also enjoyed spending time “someplace else” and on the beach collecting sand dollars.
He was predeceased by his wife Debora Wolfe Tuck in 2012.
He is survived by his daughter Stephanie B. Tuck and Mark Furbush of Fairfield; a daughter Alice W. Tuck of South Portland; and a sister Marcia and her husband Roger Phelps of Ojai, CA.
