Services will be held at the family Camps on Sebago in the spring. Arrangements have been entrusted with Dennett, Craig and Pate Funeral and Cremation Home, 13 Portland Road, Buxton, (Bar Mills) Maine .
Obituary:
SCARBOROUGH – Arthur K. McCubrey ,94 passed away on January 24, 2016 at the Maine Veterans Home in Scarborough. He was born in Portland, Maine on August 29, 1921 the son Raymond and Margaret Knight McCubrey.
Arthur graduated from Deering High school in 1939 and then he enlisted in the Army Air Corp. He served as a pilot in the 8th Air force in Europe .
After this service, he returned to the United States and worked for B.G. Pride Fuel Company. As owner of Standish Reality, he ran a series of camps for many years known as Sebago Acres Cottage Colony. He later worked for Maine Florida Properties.
He was predeceased by his wife, Mary in 1983.
He is survived by his son Byron K. McCubrey of Bar Mills, nephews Bruce McCubrey, Raymond McCubrey, David McCubrey, Brian Evdo, Daniel and Merritt Pride, nieces Denise Banister and Jo Anne Zarra .

My sincerest condolences to the McCubrey family. I did not know Mr. McCubrey personally, though my late husband and I were close friends with his son Byron.
