Obituary:
SACO – Robert Phil McCrum, 69, passed away Monday, December 21, 2015 at Mercy Hospital surrounded by his loving wife and children. Born on May 7th, 1946, Robert was raised in Mars Hill by Phil and Doris McCrum. He is a graduate of Aroostook Central Institute and attended the University of Maine. He married his high school sweetheart, Jennifer (Craig) McCrum, on June 23, 1966.
Robert was in the National Guard for 6 years. He spent over 30 years farming with his father and later both his sons. In 2007, he and Jennifer moved to Saco where he worked alongside his son Scott as Vice President of BSC Cleaning Services. He loved traveling with his wife and family. Just this past March he and Jennifer were in Disney with his daughter and family. Nothing meant more to him than time with his family. He was a great example of a Christian husband, father and grandfather. Robert had a great sense of humor, knew when to listen and when to offer advice.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Jennifer; his sister Diane Watson and her husband Ed; four children, Scott McCrum and wife Barbara of Saco; Brad McCrum and wife Darci of Saco; Heidi Garrison and husband Gregg of Blaine; Tammy Watt and husband Peter of Saco; and grandchildren Vanessa, Connor, Olivia, Spencer, Joshua, Kaitlyn, Austin, Chandler, Sydney, Maddie, and Evan.
