A graveside service will beheld Friday December 4, 2015 at 1:00 PM at the Southern Maine Veterans Cemetery, Stanley Rd, in Springvale.

Services will be held in the chapel and concluded with military honors. Dennett, Craig & Pate funeral and Cremation, Saco are in entrusted with the arrangements.

Obituary:
Biddeford - Richard (Dick) C. Bonser passed away on Tuesday November 18, 2015 at

the Maine Veterans Home in Scarborough of natural causes. He was born in Biddeford

Maine, on October 21, 1920 the son of John and Myra Bonser. He was raised on Elm

Street in Biddeford and enjoyed a memorable childhood, he raised pigeons with his

father and summered on Hills Beach where he learned to love the ocean. He graduated

from Biddeford High School in 1938. He attended prep school at Hebron Academy,

Hebron ME, graduating in 1939, then attending Cornell University, Ithaca NY,

graduating class of 1943. Richard excelled at football playing high school, prep school

and college. Richard joined the U.S. Navy while attending Cornell where served as a

Lieutenant in WWII. On his return from the war, he worked for Toledo Sale Co, Ohio.

He spent most of his life in sales, and was once the top salesmen for E.J. Brach

Confections. In 1966 Richard formed Lipari Pumice Aggregate Company in Westport

Conn. Before retiring Richard co-owned Interwine, an importer and distributor of wine.

Richard lived a fascinating life, he loved the ocean, boating and fishing. He loved to

travel and had a particular love of Italy. Anyone who met him just loved talking to him

hearing his intriguing stories. He had an infectious laugh and a genuine zest and love

for life. He will be truly missed. Richard is survived by his longtime friend Carolyn

Ferraro, her husband Michael, their children Richard and Nicolle, son Henry Bonser and

his wife Monica, Grandson Derek Bonser and his wife Julie, two great grandsons

Macallan and Hayden of Kennepunkport.
