Obituary:
Hollis - Michael E. Pierce, 71, of Rope Walk Drive passed away Thursday November 9, 2023 at his residence.
He was born in Biddeford, ME January 17, 1952 the son of Donald and Liliane Caron Pierce.
Michael attended Saco schools and graduated from Thornton Academy.
He later attended college.
Michael worked for many years for Key Bank, later in customer service for WEX and Hannafords.
He enjoyed gardening, knitting and crocheting. Michael enjoyed traveling to France with his mother and also taking cruises with her. He participated in Thornton Academy Alumnae play of Fiddler on the roof.
Michael was a member of First Parish Congregational Church UCC of Saco, where he was a member of the choir and helped with the bean suppers. He also participated in Tricity Chorus.
He is predeceased by his wife Sue Ellen Pierce in 2006.
Survivors include his son Tristan Pierce of SC, a daughter Alisha Libby of Lisbon, partner Jeffrey Bleeker of Hollis and 3 grandchildren.
Visiting hours are to be held Friday November 17, 2023 from 3 to 5 pm at the Dennett, Craig & Pate Funeral Home 13 Portland Rd, Buxton.
A 5 pm memorial service will immediately follow at the funeral home.
Rev. Scott Cousineau will officiate.

To Michael Pierce's family,
We first met Michael through an acquaintance with his wife Sue Ellen. Her mother Doris (Freeman) Garland was a family friend. Michael Pierce and my husband were faithful members of the First Parish Church Choir. Mike's mother Eileen with her wonderful French accent and I used to visit and knit prayer shawls in the church parlor early on Sunday mornings while the choir practiced before the worship service. Mike was dedicated to his family and we hope that they are doing well. With Sympathy and prayers for comfort and peace. Mary Atkinson Johnson
