In lieu of flowers, Anita’s family suggests that memorial donations be made to The Salvation Army – Portland Citadel, designated to Youth programs at 297 Cumberland Avenue, Portland, ME 04101.
Obituary:
Freeport – Anitalee S. “Anita” Moore, age 71 of 94 Bragdon Road, died on February 21, 2023, at Gosnell Hospice House after a long illness.
She was born in Norwalk, CT on November 24, 1951, a daughter of Kenneth and Muriel (Rozell) Spescha. She was the oldest of 6 children.
In July 1973, she married Burton (Rocky) Moore and raised a family together. She lived through out Maine, Florida, and Iowa throughout her life.
Anita worked a large amount of her life as a bookkeeper with The Salvation Army. She volunteered there also.
She was a soldier in The Salvation Army where she served the Lord and taught her children to love the Lord.
She loved to craft, color, and do diamond art. She especially loved and enjoyed seeing and hearing her grandchildren perform through dance, singing, guitar and horn playing and whatever else they did.
She will be missed by all and never forgotten.
She was predeceased by her loving husband Rocky in 2009. She was also predeceased by her father, mother, and 3 brothers – Phillip, Scott, and Paul.
She is survived by her 3 daughters – Stacylee Liskey and her husband Chuck of Freeport, ME; April Merrill of Cumberland, ME; Billie-jo Moore-Viens and her husband Jerry of Cedar Rapids, IA; by her brother, Peter Spescha and his wife Sue of Westbrook, ME; by her sister, Virginia Hoeger and her husband Phil of Delhi, IA; Sister-in-laws Norma Moore and Kathy Drummond; Grandchildren – Anthony, Sydney, Paige, Philip, Andrew, and Abigail; along with many nieces and nephews.
