A graveside service will be held Friday October 28, 2022 at 12:00 noon at the Evergreen Cemetery, 672 Stevens Ave, Portland Maine 04103. Services will conclude with US Navy Honors.
A Celebration of his Life will follow at 2:00 PM at Mulligans in Biddeford, all are invited.

Obituary:
Biddeford - Richard Dickey Linwood Erickson III 30 Main St. died unexpectedly, October 14 2022 in Biddeford. He was born December 21, 1991 in Portland Maine. Son of Richard and Cheryl Brown Erickson. He grew up in Biddeford and attended all Biddeford schools. He played football in his senior year for the Biddeford Tigers wore number 71 and played defensive end. From there he went to SMCC in South Portland. He started taking criminal justice, then switch to Communications & New Media Studies. While at the college, he worked security at the college. After three years, he took a break and join the Navy. While in the Navy he got to see the world, as he worked on the hydraulic and steam system on the aircraft carrier John C. Stennis. He left the Navy after four years as Petty Officer 3rd class. After the Navy, he enrolled at Los Angeles Film School in Hollywood. He was enjoying his time in school until Covid-19 outbreak, then the school shut down and went to online classes. It wasn’t the same for so he came home to Maine. He was doing deliveries at the time of death. As a teenage and young man, he loved doing small film clips which were pretty funny. He would write, direct and edit these films. He also loved going 4wheeling and camping at Cool’s Canyon Campground in Byron. Another thing he love to do was tubing up the Skelton dam. He loved the competition between his friends and family on the tubes. When would knock someone off the tube he would have the biggest smile and laugh, he would even smile when he lost the battle. When their little kids on the tube with him, he would talk to them and show them the ropes. He would walk around the house singing “Come Sail Away” by Styx. He loved doing karaoke and American Idol video game with his friends and mom. When it came to food his appetite was amazing. He loved all kinds of food, but when it came to Vivians Hamburg's that was his number one. He would drive from Biddeford to Portland for one, unless his dad was buying then it would be two or three. He was predeceased by his sister Chelsea Lynn Erickson grandmother Mary Erickson and grandparents Guy I and Leona Brown. He is survived by his grandfather Richard Linwood Erickson Sr, father Richard Linwood Erickson Jr, mother Cheryl D Erickson and sister Kayla M Erickson.
