Visitation Information:
A funeral service will be held Saturday February 26, 2022 at 1:00 pm at the Advent Christian Church, 503 Goodwin Mills Road, Dayton. Pastor Russell Carle will officiate. Burial will follow at Goodwins Mills Cemetery. A reception will be held after at the church. Dennett, Craig & Pate Funeral Home 365 Main St, Saco are entrusted with her services.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Joan’s name to Goodwins Mills Advent Christian Church, 503 Goodwins Mills Road, Dayton, ME 04005.

Obituary:
Dayton - Joan Florence Schoff Waterhouse,91, of Waterhouse Road passed away Saturday February 19, 2022 at Southern Maine Health Care.

She was born September 21, 1930 in Williamstown, Vermont the daughter of Ray and Winifred Bumford Schoff.

Joan grew up in Vermont, later living in Connecticut and then Maine where she graduated from Kennebunk High School in 1949.

After high school, she married James Waterhouse II and was a stay-at-home mom, raising her seven children.

Joan attended the Goodwins Mills Advent Christian Church.

She enjoyed quilting, rug hooking, cooking, reading historical fiction, spending time with her family and her beloved Cat Mr. Penney.

She is survived by her husband of 71 years James Waterhouse II of Dayton, a sister Norma Wentworth of Falmouth, 4 sons James Waterhouse III of Dayton and wife Jayne, John Waterhouse of Dayton and wife Christine, Joel Waterhouse of Dayton and husband Kevin Cyr and Jeremy Waterhouse of Dayton and wife Samantha, 3 daughters Julie Tucker of Dayton and husband Terry, Janet Goodwin of Windham and husband Ross and Jody Burns of Windham and husband Stephen, 17 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.
