Visiting hours are to be held from 11 to 12 noon on Monday February 28, 2022, at The Salvation Army Corp, 2 6th St, Old Orchard Beach. A funeral service will immediately follow at noon at The Salvation Army Corp, reception to follow. Burial in the Salvation Army section of Laurel Hill Cemetery, 293 Beach Street, Saco. Dennett, Craig & Pate Funeral Home, 365 Main Street, Saco is entrusted with his services.

Obituary:
Saco – Major Donald Lamar Osman 89, was Promoted to Glory on February 18, 2022 from his home on Lyman Avenue. He was born in Valley View, PA on February 19, 1932, the son of Anthony and Rebecca Ressler Osman.
Donald graduated from high school and enlisted in the US Army, serving in the 3rd Armor Division from 1955 til 1957. After his honorable discharge from service, he went to officer’s training with the Salvation Army. He served as a Salvation Army Officer for 27 years, retiring in November 1997 from active service with the rank of Major.
He enjoyed playing basketball, baseball, and cornhole. He was a lover of sports. He especially loved time spent with family and volunteering with The Salvation Army. He was predeceased by his parents, his 2 brothers and 9 sisters.
He is survived by his wife Janet Osman of 67 years, his daughter Jill Hamel of Milford, NH and husband Jim and 2 grandchildren Jonathon of New York and Joshua of Arkansas, a sister Major Marjorie Osman of Lancaster, PA. and many nieces and nephews.
