Obituary:
On December 29, 2021 Lois A. Brown, 86, a resident of Old Orchard Beach, ME. passed away peacefully at the home she shared with her son Daniel after a period of declining health.
She was born in Woburn, MA in 1935 and was raised in Burlington, MA. In 1957, Lois married Orrin J. Robinson and together they raised 7 children in Chelmsford, MA. Lois was a fun, optimistic, and joyful mother dedicated to creating a loving and affirming family atmosphere. In 1976, the family purchased Parker’s Motel in Lincoln, NH. Lois continued being the best mother in the world while running the motel. Lois is most famous for the wit and wisdom of the hundreds of quotes that she displayed on the marquee at the motel. For several years, Lois also drove school bus in the Lin-Wood community. Lois retired from the motel in 2002 and moved to Old Orchard Beach where her brother Richard and sister Jane lived.
She made the most of her retirement enjoying the beach and the Old Orchard community. She was active in the Red Hat Society and served as the Queen for several years. As her health declined, she became less mobile and was happy to just be at home. Lois was extremely fortunate to be cared for by her son Daniel in her final years. Daniel was her full-time caregiver allowing her to remain at home despite the worsening effects of dementia and seizures.
Lois leaves her children Patty Campbell of MD, O.J. Robinson and his partner Randy Thomas of Lincoln, NH, Lois Nania and husband Frank of Clinton, MA, Sue Robinson of Asheville, Dwight Robinson of Louisville, CO, Daniel Robinson of Old Orchard Beach, and Tom Robinson and wife Noelle of Sandwich, NH. Lois also leaves a brother Philip, grandchildren Stevie, Jackie and Max, and great grandchildren Anthony and Mason. She was pre-deceased by her parents Ken & Elta Brown, her childrens’ father Orrin Robinson, her brother Richard, and her sister Jane.
