Obituary:
Alice E. Nelson, 77, resident of Old Orchard Beach Maine passed away Tuesday November 30, 2021 at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice house in Scarborough.
She was born July 15, 1944 the daughter of Cecil and Hazel Jones in Perth
Amboy New Jersey. She graduated from South River High School of New Jersey.
Alice’s first job was at the Sunshine Biscuit Company but worked many jobs including at Spring Grove Cemetery in Ohio and most recently as a screener for TSA.
Alice was a strong christian woman and took pleasure in weaving shawls for East Point Christian Church. She enjoyed being a homemaker and was a great cook. Alice was a talented in music, photography and judo to name a few. Her favorite hobby was horseback riding, and she would often reminisce about her days as a barrel racer. Alice’s greatest love was for the Lord and her family.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years Lowell E. Nelson of Old Orchard Beach, a son Todd E. Nelson of Old Orchard Beach, a daughter Joetta McPherson of Ohio, 3 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
