Obituary:
Saco - Gertrude “Trudy” Knox 92 of Ricker Road passed away Sunday September 12, 2021 at her residence with her family at her side.
She was born in Stoneham Massachusetts November 29, 1928 the daughter of Solon and Alicia Bowser Stigman.
She moved to Maine at a young age and graduated from Gorham High School.
She met her future husband Robert at a Dance in Kennebunk.
Trudy was a homemaker and worked for a short period of time in the office of the Road Department for the City of Saco.
Trudy was also a Ward Clerk for the City of Saco.
She was a member of the North Saco Grange and held many of the positions.
She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Annette Chapter# 184 of Saco where she was Worthy Matron several times.
Trudy enjoyed gardening, baking and word search.
She is predeceased by her husband Robert, a son Bucky Knox and a granddaughter Laurie Knox.
Survivors include 2 sons John Knox of Windham and his wife Becky and Scott Knox of Kennebunk and his wife Mary, a daughter in law Dawn of South Carolina, 9 grandchildren Shannon, Shawna, Jason, Katie, Jeffrey, Jonathan, Sarah, Christopher and Robert, and 11 grandchildren, Spirit, Ora, Aberdeen, Isaac, Izzy, Lylah, Meadow, Kalina, Riley, Brenna and Alexa.
