A celebration of his life will be held at the American Legion 300 Conant St, Westbrook, Maine 04092 Saturday May 15, 2021 from 1 to 5pm .
Burial will be at a later date at the Maine Veterans Cemetery, Stanley Road, Springvale, Maine
Dennett, Craig & Pate 365 Main St, Saco are entrusted with his services.
Obituary:
Biddeford, Richard N, Hunter, 67, of Sullivan St passed away Sunday May 2, 2021 at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough.
He was born in Augusta Maine June 8. 1953 the son of Karl and Mae French Hunter.
Richard attended local schools,
He served in the US Army, stationed in Germany during the Vietnam Conflict.
Richard returned to the United States after his service to his country and lived in California, Florida before returning Maine.
He worked at various restaurants as a cook.
He enjoyed playing pool, cribbage and hanging out with friends at Pops Tavern.
Richard is survived by his mother Mae Santos of New Gloucester, 4 sons Nathan Hunter of Saco, Jeremiah Preston of Lewiston, Richard Hunter of Maryland and Jessie of California, 2 brothers Jim Queen of Limington, Bob Queen of New Gloucester and 2 sisters Nancy Alger of New Gloucester and Karen Van der werf of West Bath and 3 grandchildren.
