Obituary:
Cecile St. Ours, 78 passed away Sunday December 13, 2020 due to an ongoing battle with dementia at the South Portland Nursing Home.
She was born in Old Orchard Beach on February 9, 1942, the daughter of Napoleon and Margaret LaPlante Bolduc.
She attended schools in Old Orchard Beach up until the 8th grade. As a young girl she worked at local motels as a chambermaid. She also worked at Herman shoe until she had to stop working due to her pregnancy with her twin daughters. She became a homemaker to her 4 children and husband until he passed away. She then returned to working at the Surfside Motels and Cabins for 15 years up until her retirement. In retirement she went on to babysitting her grandson while her daughter worked. She loved spending her time with her grandchildren when they were younger. She became a member of the Seashore Trolley Museum where she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She was also a member of the Veterans Alliance Club and St. Josephs Church, Good Shepherd Parish.
She also enjoyed going out dancing at several local clubs and could be found on the floor doing the twist and just being her energetic self.
She had a unique sense of humor that made people laugh. She liked scratching off tickets and eating at Michaels Pizza and Garside's Ice Cream.
Cecile looked forward to her daughter from Greenville's visits and visits with her oldest son whenever she could get over to see him. She also treasured her time with Carlty every Sunday.
