Obituary:
SEARSPORT - Diana Marie McAllian, 71, died peacefully on October 06, 2020, at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough, Maine.

She was born on December 23, 1948 (December 22, 1948 on record) in Camen, ME to Willina "Billye" Toma (Flanders) Knowlton and Ralph "Babe" Wilber Sholes her parents and step-father George "Buster" Duncan Knowlton.

Diana attended schools in Chelsea, MA and Huntington Beach, CA. She worked for the sardine industry, at Stinsons Seafood, Co. in Belfast for over 20 years as a Casing Room Supervisor. Her hobbies were sewing, reading avidly (which does not come close describing the unreal amount that she read), completing crossword and jigsaw puzzles, playing and spending time with grandson Michael and her passion was scrapbooking. She loved life and people and was well known for her hugs. She was blessed to have made many friends in her lifetime.

Diana was predeceased by her parents and step-father, as well as four beloved aunts and 2 beloved uncles. Rita Bridges of Tacoma, WA , Ida Harvey of Belfast, ME, Shirley Howard of Swanville, ME, Barbara Sholes of Swanville, ME, Lester Howard of Belfast, ME, and Ed Flanders, Belfast, ME. One Ex-husband Thomas McAllian of Monroe, ME. She is survived by her children, Shawn Michael McAllian of Bath, ME, Stacy Ann Shimek of Augusta, ME, and Kevin Bruce Carroll of Swanville, ME. She leaves seven grandsons Michael "Mikey" Carroll of Swanville, ME, Xander Shimek of Augusta, ME, and Zachary, Devin, Casper, Hayden, and Landon McAllian all of Bath, ME. Two younger brothers, Kenneth R. (Ken) Sholes of Milford, NH and Linwood Mylen of Knox, ME. A much loved daughter-in-law Jaime "The Brat" McAllian of Bath, ME. Also several nieces, nephews and cousins and many, many friends. She would have liked to acknowledge special friends, Elaine Joseph of Belfast, ME, of Pat Melvin of Belfast, ME.

She expressed that "Hopefully I've touched as many hearts as they have touched mine."
