Obituary:
Hollis, James Albert Turgeon Sr, 81 of Kingswood Drive passed away Friday August 9, 2019 at the Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice with his family by his side.
He was born in Portland March 3, 1938 the son of Eugene and Violet Perry Turgeon.
He attended local schools and graduated from Portland High School.
James then joined the US Navy and served as a gunner on the USS Wasp.
After his service to his country, he returned home and was a long haul trucker for many years.
He enjoyed Nascar and woodworking.
He is survived by a daughter Shelly Bickford of Gorham, ME, 2 sons James A. Turgeon Jr of Ocala, FL and wife Beth and Dean Turgeon of Norwood, NC and wife Heidi, 6 grandchildren James, Corey, Derek, Lindsey, Tabitha and Whitney, and 3 great grandchildren, Riley, Sophia, and Isaac.
