Judith Anne “Judy” (Hurley) Cournoyer, 49, of West Springfield, MA formerly of Agawam, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, July 19, 2019 while vacationing with her family in Old Orchard Beach, Maine. She was born in Springfield, educated in Agawam, a daughter of the late Samuel and Lillian (Powers) Hurley and was a graduate of Agawam High School Class of 1988. She was an active sports mom who dedicated her free time in all aspects of the five sports her children participated in, including hockey, football, lacrosse, softball and Irish step dancing. Judy will be remembered by many of the parents as the “go to person” if that particular event required any type of planning or logistics from the beginning to the end of the season. She was an active member of the West Springfield Youth Lacrosse Association, the John Boyle O’Reilly Club and Irish Homes Association of Hartford. She leaves her best friend, soulmate and devoted husband of 25 years which they had just celebrated their anniversary on July 8th of 2019, William P.
