Obituary:
Rudy started his life with actions typical of many from his generation. World War Two was a time of rationing and uncertainty. He quit school in seventh grade and started working full time to help his family. When he turned fifteen, he tried to join the Navy to go fight in the war. The Navy realized he was under age and stopped him. By the time the Korean War started, he was old enough and the Army happily drafted him. After returning from overseas he met and married Eileen. They bought property and built a house on the Saco River. They soon started raising a family. They were married for sixty-five years. He loved doing things that involved the Saco River. He was a Maine Guide and avid fisherman, he repaired outboard motors, he designed and built logging, recreational, and racing boats, he built and operated a marina, he was a skilled machinist, he designed, built, and operated a sawmill. He rescued more than a few people who were drowning in the river. He enjoyed his life and will be missed by those who knew him. His wife and two daughters predeceased him, he is survived by his son David Danis, grandsons Sjhon Frazier, Jason Frazier, Joseph Danis, and many grandchildren.
