Friends and Family may call at the Dennett, Craig & Pate Funeral Home, 13 Portland Road, Buxton (Bar Mills) on Saturday, January 5, 2019 from 1pm-4pm, followed by a 4pm memorial service at the funeral home.

Obituary:
Gino Bruzzese age 78 of Buxton ME died peacefully on Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough ME surrounded by his loving family.
Gino was born in Calabria, Italy September 8, 1940, the son of Maria Pelagio- Bruzzese and Salvatore Bruzzese. He immigrated with his family to the US through the portal of Ellis Island, NY in 1953 at the age of 13. The family settled in the Italian community in the North End of Boston MA. Gino resided in Massachusetts for 35 years.
In 1988 he moved to Portland, ME to be with the love of his life Ellie. They married in 1994. In 1991, Gino and Ellie moved to Buxton, ME where he lived for the remainder of his life.
In his teens, Gino developed a skill for fixing cars. He loved working on and collecting cars. It was that passion that gave him the opportunity to become the owner of multiple auto repair, tire, towing and gasoline stations in New England for more than 50 years. For the past 28 years, Gino, with Ellie by his side, was the proud owner of Ocean Street Auto in South Portland, ME. Gino often reflected on his many loyal customers that he met over the years.
In his spare time, Gino enjoyed working on his lawn with his Kubota tractor, tending to his vegetable gardens and tinkering in the garage with his many “toys”. If Gino didn’t have it, you didn’t need it! Gino also had a passion for guns. He was an avid collector. His extensive collection was admired by many. Gino treasured his boat, the “Ellie Mae”. He enjoyed watching biblical and action movies and the Patriots on his large screen TV.
Gino is predeceased by his father Salvatore, his son Gino Jr., and a brother Vincenzo.
Gino is survived by his beloved soulmate and wife of 25 years Ellie, his mother Maria Bruzzese, a sister Rosa Ladd and her husband Robert L. of Gloucester, and 2 brothers, Joseph Bruzzese and his wife Marie of Marshfield, MA and Anthony Bruzzese of Boynton Beach, FL. His children, two daughters Carol Ann Shahin of Topsfield, MA and Gina Marie Bruzzese of Portland, ME, a stepdaughter Debbie Burris of Portland, ME and a son James Bruzzese of Lynn MA. He also leaves behind seven grandchildren, Fouad, Adam, and Tina Shahin, James and Valerie Bruzzese. Crystal Tabone and Mason Morgan and eight great grandchildren, Kayla, Sadie, Carlo, Gennaro, Lia, Alena, Dominic and Ava.
