Obituary:
Hollis- Terrance (Terry) Sabine, age 64 of Waterboro Road died unexpectedly at Maine Medical Center following an accident while building his home on
September 4, 2018. He was born in Portland on January 3, 1954, a son of Mildred and Kenneth Gove. He attended schools in Portland.
On August 26, 1989, he married Claudia Sabine and they raised a family together. Although divorced, they continued to share a strong bond and create memories together.
Terry was a dedicated subcontractor of Warren Construction and was currently working at Bowdoin College. He was the owner of T.L. Sabine and Sons Fine Woodworking and was a renowned finish carpenter and builder. Notable projects of Terry’s were the L.L. Bean trout pond renovation and remodeling of The Portland Art Museum.
Terry enjoyed playing golf, four wheeling, music and dancing. He was an avid hunter and fisherman in his earlier years. One of his favorite things was spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren. Holidays will not be the same since Terry fostered togetherness and tradition; he was always excited to share food, drink and laughs. Terry was easily described and well known as a selfless, caring, kind, dependable, hardworking family man.
Terry was predeceased by his parents Mildred and Kenneth Gove and son Dain Larson.
He is survived by his siblings Dale Sabine, Jean Silveria, Daniel Sabine, Gail Sabine and their families, his children Ryan Sabine, Travis Sabine, Jonathan Bookman, Tomi Pastore, Tonya Aceto and their families. Terry was also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, grandchildren, grandnephews, grandnieces and dear friends. He was recently engaged to and shared special years with Donna Sinclair.

So sorry to hear this! Gail, you might remember me. So many memories! My stepdad worked with yours for a few years as a mason tender, we used to visit and play together. I do believe I might have had a crush on Terry, us being the same age. Sounds like he turned into quite the talented man! My sincere condolences.
