Her Funeral Liturgy will be held Saturday (July 28th) at 10 a.m. at St. Mary Church, Freestone Ave., Portland, CT. Burial will be in St. Bridget Cemetery, Moodus, CT. Friends may call at Biega Funeral Home, 3 Silver St., Middletown, CT on Friday from 5 to 7 p.m.

Irene M. (Golub) Negrelli, 82, of Portland, CT, wife of 58 years to Louis V. Negrelli, Jr., died peacefully Tuesday July 17, 2018, at summer home in Old Orchard Beach, ME.
She was born in Middletown, CT, the daughter of the late Stanley A. Golub, Sr. and Mary C. (Budney) Golub. Irene received her Bachelor of the Arts degree in teaching from the University of Connecticut in 1958 and later went on to teach in the Meriden School system for 35 years. Irene was a member of the MFT, Meriden Federations of Teachers, the ARTC, Association of Retired Teachers of CT, St. Mary’s Ladies Guild, Senior Center Bears on a Journey, and the American Red Cross. She enjoyed summer vacations in Maine, tending to her rose gardens in CT and will be remembered for baking for all occasions, especially pies.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughters, Karen Negrelli Clark and her husband Richard of Portland, and Marcia Negrelli Annunziata and her husband Richard of Branford; four grandchildren, Andrew L. Clark, Marykate L. Clark, Michael A. Annunziata and Alena R. Annunziata. She was predeceased by her brother, Stanley Golub, Jr.
