A Celebration of Life will be held at the Hollis Center Church on Sunday, April 15, 2018 at 2:00pm. Dennett, Craig & Pate Funeral Home, 13 Portland Road, Buxton is in charge of the arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be made in Bill’s honor to Gosnell Memorial Hospice House, 180 US Route One, Scarborough, ME 04074.
Obituary:
Hollis – William M. Bickford, Jr., 71, of Hollis passed away April 8, 2018 at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House with his family by his side. He was born on May 21, 1946, the son of William and Louise Wells Bickford, Sr.
He attended schools in Cape Elizabeth and Scarborough and graduated from Scarborough High School.
He was employed at National Semiconductor and retired after many years as an HVAC Technician from Mechanical Services.
Bill was active in the Hollis Center Church and volunteered at the Food Pantry. He loved antique cars and enjoyed going to Cruise nights in southern Maine. He also enjoyed playing cribbage and eating ice cream. Bill especially treasured his car rides to the ocean with his wife Kathleen.
He is survived by his wife Kathleen McGee Bickford, daughter Danielle, step daughter Kimberly Grey and her husband Christopher and their two daughters Audrey and Lauren of Cape Elizabeth, sisters Jean Perla of Saco, Charlotte and her husband Anthony Rerrick of South Portland, Gail and her husband Duane Carpenter of Waterville as well as many nieces and nephews. Bill will also be missed by his beloved dog Stella.

To K and K - I went to high school with Billy and we were good friends. Had been to his parents house on Black Point Road many times. Lost track of him after returning from the service. I saw his obit in yesterdays paper just by chance, and am truly sorry for your loss.

How sad that we did not get together here on Earth Billy after we found each other since childhood but full of joy knowing we will be together in Heaven with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Our prayers are with you all during this difficult time. He will give your the peace that only He can. He is faithful and true. We send our love and deepest condolences.The Ross family.
