Obituary:
Marie Larsen Stenzel, age 94, of Portland passed away on February 23, 2018 at the Gosnell House.
She was born in Woodbridge, New Jersey on December 5, 1923, a daughter of Anton and Petra Lund Larsen. She attended schools in New Jersey graduating from Woodbridge High School
Marie worked for many years as a Legal Secretary for Berstein, Shur, Sawyer and Nelson in Portland. She enjoyed reading and keeping in touch with her friends from Kindergarten. She also enjoyed making a “wicked” cheesecake that so many loved.
Marie was an active member of The White Church in Woodbridge, New Jersey for over 80 years.
She is predeceased by her husband, Weldon Stenzel who passed away in 2000.
She is survived by her son Paul Stenzel and his wife Judy Walsh of Peaks Island, Maine and a daughter Judy Paavola and her husband Steve of Acton, Massachusetts, and a grandson Eric Paavola.
