Friends and relatives may call at the Dennett, Craig & Pate Funeral Home 13 Portland Rd, Buxton (Bar Mills) Saturday January 27, 2018 from 10 to 11am.
A 11:00 AM memorial Service will immediately follow at the funeral home, Rev. Ron Sargent will officiate. A Reception will follow at the Hollis Center Church, 388 Hollis Rd, Hollis, Maine 04042. Spring burial at Russian City Cemetery in Berlin New Hampshire. Providing Services to Our Veterans with Pride.
Obituary:
Hollis, Alan R. Froding, 76, of Bear Hill Rd passed away Tuesday January 16, 2018 at the Maine Medical Center, He was born in Portland January 28, 1941 the son of Oscar and Laura Ross Froding.
He attended local schools and graduated from Deering High School.
After high school, he served in the US Navy and then later the Naval Reserves.
After his service to his country, he worked at SD Warren in Westbrook.
He worked there in the shipping department until he retired in 1996.
He and his wife Lois enjoyed summers at their camp at Cedar Pond with their friends.
He is predeceased by his wife Lois in 2014.
Survivors include 2 daughters Bonnie Wintle and husband David of Hollis, and Judy Rose and her husband Dan of Buxton, a sister Jane Harrington of Chebeague Island, and 4 grandchildren Matthew and Ashlyn Wintle, Connor and Sawyer Rose.
