His family would like to invite all family and friends to join them in a celebration of Don’s Life on November 19th, from 2-4pm at the Harmony Masonic Hall located at 33 Cressey Road, Gorham. This is to honor and celebrate Don’s life and everything he brought to our lives. The celebration shall conclude with Military Honors.

Donald’s arrangements have been entrusted to Dennett, Craig & Pate Funeral Home and Cremation 13 Portland Rd, Buxton ( Bar Mills) Maine.

Obituary:
Donald C. Goodrich, 80, of Buxton passed away on November 5, 2017, at his home and surrounded by his loved ones, after an honorable fight with residual health issues. He was born November 28, 1936, the son of Albert and Christie Goodrich. Don was the youngest of three boys: predeceased by his brother, Doug Goodrich, and survived by Lloyd Goodrich, of Florida.

Don Graduated from Scarborough High School. After high school, Don served proudly in the United States Air Force from 1956 to 1962. He became a brother of the Local UA 716 Plumbers and Pipefitters in 1969 and continued his membership until he passed. He took enormous pride in his work and was proud to work on many projects throughout the United States including the Alaskan Pipeline.

He had many hobbies and interests. He enjoyed flying, hunting, and fishing, He was a very talented woodworker and his works will be treasured by friends and family who were the recipients of many of his gifts. He was truly his happiest when he was with friends and family enjoying the outdoors. He was especially fond of Sebago Lake where he spent countless hours in the summer trolling and winters ice fishing with family and freinds. Don took great pride in his home, his yard, and his garden and had an enviable “green thumb”.

Most importantly Don was people person. He truly enjoyed helping others. His shop door was always open for people to stop in and chat, drop off their broken items to be repaired, have some wood working done, whatever you needed Don was there to lend a hand. He always met you with a smile on his face. His happy-go-lucky outlook in life was contagious.

He leaves behind his loving wife of 41 years, Margaret Goodrich.

He was adored by all of his children, leaving behind two daughters and their spouses, Kellie and Richard Bryan and Belinda and Devin Fremouw, and his son, Michael Goodrich, all currently residing in Arizona, his two stepsons and their spouses, Richard and Lisa Hamilton and Scott and Kristi Hamilton, both of Buxton.

Don is survived by 13 grandchildren: Brittany Beane, Amanda McDonough, Ashley Dunham-Conway, Alex Goodrich, Brandice Beane, Kayle Hamilton, Brooke Blaylock, Joseph Call, Sinara Goodrich, Isabelle Goodrich, Ethan Hamilton, Molly Hamilton, and Elizabeth Hamilton and 9 great-grandchildren: Gianna Beane, Harper Dunham-Conway, Maddison Blaylock, Kaelyn Blaylock, Abigael McDonough, Teagan Yoder, Cadence Goodrich Beane, Hudson Dunham-Conway, and Hendrix Yoder.
