Obituary:
It is with great sadness that the family of Marc Christopher Blanco II announces his sudden passing on Monday, October 2, 2017.
A native of Portland, Marc attended Deering High School where he stood out as a competitive and hardworking football player. In December 2000 Marc served in the Infantry in the United States Army spending time in Macedonia.
Years later Marc enjoyed working outdoors in carpentry and construction in Maine and Florida. It was during this time that he became the father of two beautiful and amazing daughters – Helena Grace Blanco-Griffin and Neveah Isabella Blanco. Helena and Neveah were his biggest and brightest accomplishments and filled the most space in his heart.
Marc was an outgoing and charismatic person who made many friends from all over. Those who knew him and had the opportunity to spend quality time with him will always remember his charming smile and willingness to be there when you needed him. Marc loved taking long drives, and shared his father’s love of country music.
Marc is missed by many already, but will be forgotten by none. He will be lovingly remembered by his mother Teresa Esposito-Mendel, brothers John and Jason, daughters Helena and Neveah, and numerous cousins, extended family, and dear friends. Marc was predeceased by his father, Marc C. Blanco Sr.
Private memorial services have been held. Marc’s family encourages others to honor his life and legacy by making a donation in Marc’s name to the Department of Veteran’s Affairs.

RIP Blanco, you will forever be a big part of our Stevens Ave crew. You brought us so many memories. Our favorite we talk about all the time is when you, Meyer, and me went to Funtown and rode every ride there and screamed like babies! We loved you like family! You loved hard and played hard! Praying for your family and daughters, rest easy 😢😢🙏🙏💕

I was stunned to find out that Marc had passed. I am sure your hearts are broken with his loss. I will always remember our interactions during school, some actually humorous. I am especially proud that he graduated from high school enduring the rigors of my class. His military service to his country will forever set him apart from so many who did not heed the call. Sending love to all of you, Duffett, LCDR, USN (ret)
