Obituary:
Old Orchard Beach, Nicole M. Chausse, 48 of Pond View Road passed away August 23, 2017 at her residence. She was born in Stoughton, Massachusetts May 17, 1969 the daughter of Clifford Chausse and Donna Thomas.
Nicole attended local schools and enjoyed playing softball. She graduated from Apponequet Regional High School where she played tennis and was a National Merit Scholarship semifinalist. After high school, she attended Hampshire College in Western Massachusetts.
Nicole moved to Maine in 1997, residing in the Buxton area for over 13 years and most recently in Old Orchard Beach for the last 2 years.
She enjoyed nature, hiking, kayaking, tennis and birdwatching.
She is survived by her mother Donna Thomas of Ellenton, Fla, her father Clifford Chausse and wife Nancy of Lakeville, MA, a brother Eric Stewart and wife Lynne of North Easton, MA and a sister Michelle Hourihan and husband Charles of Easton, MA, nephews and nieces Madeleine, Corinne, Malcolm, Charles Jr., and Ryan.

My heart was so saddened to hear of Nicole's passing. We enjoyed more than just looking at homes, with conversations of kayaking, and nature. She would often send me pictures of some of her nature experiences when she was out doing what she loved best. My thoughts go to all of you who will be missing her. She was a unique person, more giving and kind than most people. I am grateful to have known her.
