Obituary:
Sanford/Ocean Park, Priscilla-Ann Cushing , 87 of Mayflower Drive and formerly of Maine Ave, Ocean Park passed away Saturday July 15, 2017 at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House.
She was born in Chelsea, Mass December 15, 1929 the daughter of Edward and Edith Ricker Fennell.
Priscilla graduated from Melrose High School and then from Wesley College in Cambridge.
She was a homemaker for several years and also worked at Sweester Children’s Home.
At one time, she had worked at a pilot program in Bucks County, Pennsylvania for children with learning disabilities.
Mrs. Cushing was a long-time summer resident of Ocean Park and she and her husband Herbert moved there permanently in 1974.
While living in Ocean Park, she was a member of the Planning Board the Town of Old Orchard Beach.
She enjoyed knitting, cooking and crafts.
Priscilla is survived by her husband Herbert Cushing of Sanford, a son Gary Cushing of Alfred, 2 daughters Pamela Alley of Vinalhaven, and Karen Cushing of Stoddard , NH, 2 grandchildren Jennifer Adams and Gary Cushing II and 4 great grandchildren Aiden, Jenna, Grace and Christian.
