Obituary:
Scarborough, Eric Berry,54 of Scarborough passed away suddenly Friday June 30, 2017 at the Evergreen Manor in Saco. He was born in Dover, Delaware May 31, 1963 the son of William and Evangeline Myers Berry.
Eric moved to Maine and graduated from Deering High School in 1981.
His first place of employment was with DeOrsey’s Store, then security at the Cumberland County Civic Center, 25 years at the Maine Correction Center, Oasis Night Club in Portland and most recently at Time Warner Cable.
While in corrections, he was President of the Maine Gang Task Force and a hostage negotiator for the State of Maine.
Eric enjoyed baseball and was a fan of the New York Yankees.
Survivors include his mother of Las Vegas, 2 sons Matt Berry of Scarborough, and Devin Berry of South Portland, 2 daughters Erika Berry of Salt Lake City, Utah and Livy Berry of Lovell, Me., a brother William Berry III of Charlotte, NC and 3 sisters Rona Berry-Morin of N. Las Vegas, Renee Berry-Huffman of South Portland and Rhonda Berry of Las Vegas and a niece Domonique Berry-Huffman, who affectionately called him Uncle.
