Friends and family may call on Monday, April 24, 2017 from 11am-12pm at the Salvation Army, 2 Sixth Street, Old Orchard Beach with a service following at noon. He will be laid to rest by his wife Evelyn at Laurel Hill Cemetery with military Honors at 11am on Tuesday, April 25, 2017. Dennett, Craig & Pate Funeral Home, 365 Main Street, Saco has been entrusted with the arrangements. Proudly serving our Veterans with Pride.

Obituary:
Biddeford – Fred W. Tenney, Sr. 91 of Biddeford Estates passed away April 19, 2017 with his loving family by his side. He was born in Bangor on December 20, 1925, the son of Frank and Hazel Cleaves Tenney. He was educated in Bangor schools and enlisted in the Navy serving in World War II. He was a radio operator and a gunner during the war.
After his service, he returned to Bangor to work for the Bangor Daily News before relocating to the southern Maine area taking a job with the Saco Lowell Shops doing maintenance. His last job before retirement was with C.M. Cimino managing their Ledgewood Apartment Complex.
Fred served as a trustee for the Biddeford Eagles. He was a ASPA Pool Player and attended the Salvation Army.
Fred enjoyed playing pool and cribbage. He was an avid bowler and loved wood working, but most of all, Fred loved spending time with his family – they were his world!
Fred was predeceased by his wife Evelyn Tenney in 2011, his daughters Hazel Brown and Barbara Ann Danis, a granddaughter Kayla Ann Tenney, and all of his brothers and sisters.
He is survived by his wife Elizabeth “Betty” Tenney, a son Fred W. Tenney II, daughters Linda Withee and her husband Reggie, Carol Tenney, Dorothy Bishop, Mattie Kahn, Kathy Carpenter and her husband Robin, and Judy Chretien, son-in-law Tom Danis, 22 grandchildren, many great and great-great grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.
