A memorial service will be held 10:00 AM Wednesday January 18, 2017 at the Dennett, Craig & Pate Funeral Home and Cremation, 365 Main St, Saco. Burial will be at the Maine Veterans Cemetery in Springvale.

Obituary:
Saco, Frederick J. Yerxa, 74, of Saco passed away Saturday January 14, 2017, with his family by his side, at the Maine Veterans Home in Scarborough.
He was born in Portland, October 8, 1942 the son of James and Mildred Mazzone Yerxa Sr.
Fred attended Portland Schools and then served in the US Navy.
After his service to his country, he moved to the Saco Biddeford area.
He was employed by Maremont, Saco Tannery, Maiette Construction, Shaw Brothers and Anchor Fencing.
Fred enjoyed fishing, hunting, canoeing, riding around the city and helping his neighbors.
He is predeceased by 2 sons James and Anthony Yerxa.
Survivors include 2 sons Fred and Steven Yerxa, 2 daughters Justine Gaudet, and Kathy Yerxa, 3 brothers James, Larry and Jeff Yerxa, 2 sisters Loretta Davis, Terry Bronder , companion Joan Faulkner and a step sister Linda Duckworth, 9 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
