Obituary:
Westbrook, Clifford A. Barnes, 85 of Brook St passed away Saturday October 22, 2016 at his residence with his family at his side. He was born January 15, 1931 in West Baldwin, the son of Almon and Marion Barnes.
Clifford attended local schools and graduated from Fryeburg Academy.
After high school, he served in Korea with US Army in the Third Infantry Division.
After his service to his country, he worked many years as an Engineer for New England Telephone.
A longtime resident of Westbrook, he enjoyed canoeing, fishing, hiking up in the Allagash area of Maine.
He is predeceased by a brother Burleigh Barnes and a sister Evelyn Hedges.
Clifford is survived by his wife, of 62 years of marriage, Llewella Barnes of Westbrook , a sister Mildred Nicoletos of Florida a sister in law Marietta Jaques and her husband Philip Jr. of Westbrook and several nieces and nephews.
