Obituary:
Shirley M. Gilbert passed away September 20, 2016 at Androscoggin Hospice with her family by her side.
She was born in Biddeford on July 26, 1941, the daughter of Alton and Ruth Adams Benson.
Shirley was a homemaker, a mother and a caregiver to many including foster children. She loved to cook, especially for big meals at Thanksgiving and Christmas. Her family was her whole world and she loved
all them very much!
She was predeceased by her parents and 2 sisters.
Shirley is survived by her husband of 50 years Wayne Gilbert, 9 children,
3 brothers, 3 sisters 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
