At her request, services will be private. Harriett will be laid to rest with her husband at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL later this fall.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Dennett, Craig & Pate Funeral Home, 365 Main Street, Saco.

Obituary:
Saco – Harriett C. Allen, 85, loving wife of 58 years to the late Wayne N. Allen passed away peacefully September 15, 2016, at Seal Rock Health Care. She was born on June 2, 1931, in Lubec, the daughter of Raymond and Marion Trefry Pushee.
Harriett graduated from Lubec schools and attended Husson College in Bangor. She enthusiastically served with her husband during his 20+ years in the Air Force, living at various bases around the world. She also worked as a customer service representative in the banking industry for many years. In 1971, Harriett and Wayne settled in Bangor following his retirement from the military. Returning to Maine allowed Harriett to reconnect with friends and family, including many dear aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews. Harriett and Wayne relocated to Florida in 1995, where they found great joy in countless new friendships and the Florida sunshine. After Wayne’s death, Harriett returned to Maine in 2013 and resided at The Inn at Atlantic Heights until recently. Harriett enjoyed reading, travelling and playing bridge.
Harriett is survived by her son Steven Allen and his partner Isabelle Yokana of Biddeford, son Gregg Allen and his wife Marcey McHatten of Scarborough, and granddaughter Morgan Banks Allen of Belmont, MA. In addition, she is survived by: sister-in-law Phyllis Allen of Imperial NE; sister-in-law Patricia Pushee of Granby MA; several nieces and nephews; and her lifelong best friend Ruth Kennedy.
