Obituary:
GORHAM – Howard Maynard Faulkner, 83 of Gorham, Maine passed away on August 18, 2016 at Maine Medical Center. He was born in Haverhill, MA, October 20, 1932, the first of three sons to Frederick Martin and Gertrude Arlene (Maynard) Faulkner. Howard married Katherine Alice Blake, August 26, 1956 at Haverhill, MA. Together they raised six children: Mark Clayton, Natalie Ann (Larson), Matthew Baker, Stephen Alfred, Andrew Reed and David Maynard. They also have
14 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Howard was a Korean War veteran, taught at the State University of New York, served with the U.S. Department of State, Consulate, Porto Alegre, Brazil and retired as Professor Emeritus from the University of Southern Maine.
He is survived by his wife Katherine and his brother’s Frederick Martin Faulkner and Robert Clayton Faulkner.
