Our heartfelt condolences to your family from ours. We will forever fondly remember your Mum, as well as your Dad, as they both left a lasting warm impression on us though our many years together as parishioners at Trinity Episcopal Church in Saco. My mother (Meg Hikel Leighton) will always remember being warmly welcomed by Barbara and "Roy" upon moving to the area. After our own father, Edward Hikel Jr., passed away and our mother Meg was left a single mom of four small children she was uplifted by both Barbara and Roy, who went on to sponsor me through my own confirmation in the Episcopal faith. They became like grandparents to us as we grew and although life took us further apart in geography we remained close for long after growing and moving away. Will always remember your mom's kindness and smile and your father's jovial spirit (and his rollerskates). God Bless.
