Private family graveside service will be held at the Greenwood Cemetery
Friends and relatives may call at the Dennett, Craig & Pate Funeral Home 365 Main St, Saco Thursday June 2, 2016 from 11 to 12 PM. A 12:00 memorial service will be held at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made in Shirley's honor to the Alzheimer's Association

Obituary:
Saco– Shirley A. Lamson passed away on May 27, 2016 at the Greenwood Center in Sanford with her family by her side.
She was born in Biddeford on June 23, 1935, the daughter of Lawrence and Edith Grant Meserve.
Shirley attended local schools and graduated from Thornton Academy in 1952. She then attended and graduated from Mount Ida College in 1954.
Shirley first worked at Thibodeau’s Dairy and then for Diamond National Company in Biddeford. In 1963, she became the secretary for the First Parish Congregational Church of Saco UCC, which she held until her retirement in 1994. She was a member of First Parish Congregational Church UCC of Saco and a member of the Woman’s Fellowship.
Shirley was also a member of the North Saco Grange # 507, the Francena Club of Saco and the Woman’s E and I Union.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, sewing, quilting, gardening, woodworking, and bird watching.
Shirley is survived by her husband of 62 years Hilton “Bud” Lamson, Jr. of Saco, 2 sons Dean H. Lamson and his wife Debbi of Old Orchard Beach, and David Lamson and his wife Tammyjo of Saco, 2 daughters Doree Lagueux of Standish and Diana Lucas and her husband Bob of Franklin, NH as well as 5 grandchildren Nick, Amanda,Dara, Dana, and Kylie and 2 great grandchildren Frank and Anastasia.

I met Shirley and Hilton through genealogy research. I am a cousin of Buds through the Hill line. I feel fortunate to have gotten the chance to meet her. I am so sorry for your loss and know that you will treasure all of the wonderful times that you had together. Our sincere sympathies to all of the family.
