Obituary:
Donald Primo Pederzini, aged 87, in Buxton, ME, on May 15, 2016, beloved husband of Joyce Pederzini deceased July 22, 2015. Mr. Pederzini was born in Plymouth, MA, the son of Primo and Ida (Maloni) Pederzini of Plymouth, MA.
He graduated from Plymouth, MA, High School in 1947, Bryant and Stratton School, Boston, MA, and attended Boston University. In 1952, he married Joyce Stanley of Plymouth, MA. They made their home in Boston and Belmont, MA, for several years until a business transfer took them to North Attleboro, MA. In October 1958, they were transferred to Maine where they settled in Cape Elizabeth for 25 years. In 1983, they moved to Buxton, ME.
Donald was employed by Gulf Oil Company for thirty-three years. After his retirement, Donald activated his real estate broker’s license and became associated with Po-Go Realty, Gorham, ME, from 1985 – 2007. He was a director of the Portland Board of Realtors for seven years and president of the Gulf Retirees New England Chapter for 14 years. In 2007, he entered into his third career, and went to work for the Hannaford in Buxton. He earned the Service Star of the Year in 2014 where he was praised for being an “exceptional example of what customer service is all about.”
Don enjoyed vegetable and flower gardening, taking care of his home, golf, skiing (in his younger years), traveling, and watching his three children mature into successful adults.
Donald is survived by a son, Mark, of Nashua, NH; a daughter, Sandra and her husband, Matthew Fiedler, of Fairfield, CT; a daughter, Donna Dwyer, and her husband, John, of South Portland, ME; a daughter-in-law, Nancy Vaughan, of Nashua, NH; and, three grandchildren, Johnny Dwyer, Katelyn Pederzini, and Timothy Dwyer.
