A memorial service to celebrate Julie’s life will be held on Saturday, March 10 at 11 AM at the Hollis Center Baptist Church, Rt. 202 in Hollis. Pastor Ron Sargent will officiate. Burial will be in the spring at South Buxton Cemetery.

Obituary:
BUXTON- Julie Ann McCormick, age 50, of Beech Plains Road, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer, on March 6, 2012 at her home, surrounded by family and friends.
She was born in Waltham, MA on Aug. 3, 1961, a daughter of Howard and Carol (York) Parsons, and graduated from Bonny Eagle High School.
The last place that Julie was employed at was A Special Place, where she worked as an insurance billing specialist. At this job, she also had the opportunity to help people dealing with cancer by assisting with wig fitting.
Julie enjoyed shopping, and making jewelry; however, spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, was what was most important to her.
She is survived by her beloved husband- Thomas McCormick; son- Thomas McCormick; daughters- Michelle McCormick and Amanda McCormick; father- Howard Parsons; mother- Carol York; sisters- Donna Berry, Lisa Prout, and Christine Stewart; brother- Howard Parsons; and five beloved grandchildren- Lita, Hailey, Wyatt, Kolby, and Blake.
