My deepest condolences on the passing of your father. We served together in Berlin 'back in the day' and I have nothing but good memories of SSG Carll. May you have comfort in knowing he was well respected and well thought of. That is something you can hand your hat on.

Met Mike on Nov. 19, 1981 at Ft. Jackson SC. We attended basic training and AIT at Ft. Benning Ga. Caught up with hints at Ft. Stewart Ga. and arrived in Berlin Germany 30 days after he arrived there. Mike has always been in my thoughts I have been trying to find him since 1988. Mike was and still a great influence in my life and will always be remembered as such a great person to be around. I'm sorry I missed you.
