Obituary:
Old Orchard Beach, Robert W. McDonald, 88 of Beech Plum Dr, passed away unexpectedly December 10, 2015 at his residence. He was born in Houlton, Me March 8, 1927 the son of Verne and Kate Kinney McDonald.
Robert attended and graduated from Houlton High School in 1945.
He went on to proudly serve in the US Army from 1953 to 1955.
After his service, he went to Work for Pratt and Whitney. He worked for Pratt and Whitney in their New Haven, Ct. shop for 27 years and later retired from there.
Robert returned to Maine in 1983 and has lived here since then.
He enjoyed fresh water fishing and playing cards.
He was a fan of both the Boston Red Sox and Celtics.
He is survived by a daughter Carol LaBreck and her husband Wayne of Cape Coral, Fl., a brother Glenn McDonald of Zephyrhills, Fl , a grandson Brian C. Dupont, a great granddaughter Olivia Stuart Dupont and special friends Dale and Beaulah Spencer of Dixmont, FL.
