Old Orchard Beach, Henry “Joe “ Bouvier, 83 of Harmon Avenue passed away November 2, 2015 at his residence with his family by his side, after battling Pancreatic Cancer for 11 months. He was born in Biddeford, July 25, 1932 the son of Urbain and Bella Tanguay Bouvier.
He attended Biddeford schools where he was a triple letter athlete.
He soon became a professional boxer and was the Welterweight Champion of Maine in 1951. In 1953 he was drafted in the US Army and served in the Korean Conflict.
He worked as a brick mason until he became disabled by a 40 ft fall in 1988. He never quit being a dedicated father and grandfather.
He is survived by 2 brothers Ralph Bouvier and his wife Maria,Joseph Paul Bouvier and his wife Annette, 2 sisters Emeline Moreau and Irene Bouvier, a god child Lola Blackstone along with many nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by Diane Wormwood and Edmond Wormwood.
In 1978, he met Donna Caron, who remained his life partner until his death. Upon meeting her, he became step father to Patricia, Robert, Michelle, Brenda, LaDonna and Michael and a great grandfather to Maria, along with many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
